The last day scrolling through Pinterest, I came across this pretty amazing pin. Someone put the question out there- ”How would you describe the colour red without using the word red.” One person’s response was so in depth and imaginative (check it out here! http://themetapicture.com/i-wish-i-was-that-creative/ ) that I’ve decided to try it myself, but this time using the colour blue.
Describe the colour blue without using the word blue
It’s the colour of her eyes, the first thing you notice when she looks up from where she’s painting. The clear light colour that takes you in whole, It’s the colour that melts away from your heart when you begin talking to her. And you know there’s no going back.
It’s the colour of her dress she wears on your first date. It’s the colour of the sea in November. Darker, Forceful, Dangerous. But you don’t care, you feel invincible because it’s not the colour of her hand when you take it for the first time. You run and the water surrounds and takes you in, just like her eyes did. It’s the only colour you see when you lose her. You search but she drowns in the colour of her own eyes. It’s the colour of her lips as you drag her out and lay her down on the sand. Gently.
It’s the colour of her hands as you feel for a pulse. It’s the colour that leaves your eyes in tidal waves.
