I saw someone else do this sort of list on their blog and I loved it. I find it so fascinating to hear what other people want to achieve in their lives, so hopefully you do too!
A 1001 days from now I will have just celebrated my twenty-fourth birthday.
I probably will keep updating this list along the way, but for now, here is what I have so far:
Personal
- Create a rainy day money fund and don’t touch it. Not even for travelling.
- Donate your hair (I’ve wanted to do this for years and I’m currently in the process of growing it. This time round I’m very determined.)
- Pass my driving test (dear God before I’m 24) ***
- Improve my public speaking abilities (or lack thereof)
- Donate blood
- Brush up on my Irish and become confident in speaking it
- Do a pilgrim walk like Camino de Santiago for mindfulness and reflective purposes
Travel
- Visit Canada
- Edinburgh
- Budapest
- Greece
- Croatia
- Italy
- Spain (again)
- A weekend in Cobh (Cork)
- Live in another country again
Creative/ Educational
- Pick up drawing/ painting as a hobby again
- Read 50 books in one year (35 is your record so far)
- Do a Masters in Journalism (I swore I would never do a Masters because stress. But I think Finishing College Crisis Mode™ is kicking in and doing a Masters at some point is starting to look appealing)
- Make a vision board
- Do a course in Creative Writing
Professional/ Work
- Build up your contacts within the journalism sector and get a job/ freelance
- Try out teaching English in a foreign country
Health
- Learn meditation
- Go back to doing yoga classes (but only when you can afford that kind of lifestyle)
- Continue to eat less meat and learn more veggie recipes
Online/ Blogging
- Go on a week long screen detox
- Reach 1,000 followers on your blog (I’ve never set out to have followers on this blog, but since we’re here we might as well try and be ambitious)
Just Beacause
- Do a stint of working in a bookshop
- Walk up Mount Brandon with Dad
- Go for drinks in the Vintage Cocktail Club in Dublin
- Get your fortune read
- Go on a Tinder date (ahaha are you laughing as much as I am that this is on the list)
- Volunteer at a dog shelter
- Eat at a Michelin Star restaurant
